An interactive sentiment map displays hotel guest reviews
Olset, a hotel data specialist, has recently launched an interactive sentiment map, generated by thousands of real traveler review sentiments. By scraping the data from multiple online sources such as Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Orbitz and Hotels.com, Olset managed to collect review and sentiment details that allow us to finally see the bigger picture of hotels and travelers alike.
Although limited to the US, the map shows from the most positive down to the most negative things travelers have mentioned in their reviews. By including more than 40 features that were collected over a period of a number of years up till March 2016, the map can serve as a great tool for travel providers to increase conversion, customer satisfaction and overall greatly boost revenue.
