“Our three-year analysis (2022-2024) highlights notable shifts in the preferences of Greek travelers,” states the Tourix research team. “While Rome held the top spot in both 2022 and 2023, London has steadily climbed from third place in 2022 to the number one position in 2024. Meanwhile, destinations like Istanbul (4th place) and Vienna (5th place) have shown consistency, whereas Barcelona has demonstrated remarkable momentum, rising from 9th place in 2022 to 6th in 2024. It is also noteworthy that Dubai has maintained its presence in the Top 10, reflecting growing interest in non-European destinations.”

Key Findings of the Study:

🔹 London surpasses Rome after two years as the most searched international destination for Greek travelers.
🔹 Barcelona makes a strong entry into the Top 6.
🔹 Dubai is steadily gaining popularity.
🔹 Istanbul maintains its strong momentum.
🔹 Vienna remains a reliable favorite in 5th place.
🔹 New York, despite an increase in search volume, did not make it into the Top 10, as European destinations continue to dominate Greek travel preferences.
